Diary
Well, it’s certainly been a busy couple of months. Things I Wish I’d Known was published in paperback and got to number 28 in the fiction bestseller charts. Thank you to everyone who has bought the book and especially those who have taken the trouble to let me know how much they enjoyed it. It’s great to get feedback from readers so please do let me know what you think once you have read it and reviews on Amazon are always very welcome.
I had some great publicity for the book, including an article I wrote for the Guardian which led to me appearing on BBC2’s Newsnight with former Spurs player David Ginola, no less. Unfortunately he was in the London studio and I was in Leeds but it was still an honour! There are link to various media appearances on the Things I Wish I’d Known page and the About the Author page so please do have a look.
And now I’m busy writing book number four. I can exclusively reveal that the working title is AND THEN IT HAPPENED. Sorry but I can’t tell you what the ‘it’ is because it will spoil the book! But what I can tell you is that it features a couple called Mel and Adam who were childhood sweethearts and have lived a charmed life. Adam jokes that the worst thing that has ever happened to Mel was when her pet hamster died. Mel worries that her good fortune can’t last forever and that she is owed a big piece of bad luck. Adam tells her not to worry, that some people really do live happily ever after. And then it happens . . .
I’m thoroughly enjoying spending time with the characters and hopefully the book will be published next year. If I get a move on that is!
Linda
