Diary
Have come up for air in a rare ‘between books’ moment and realised that I haven’t written a diary entry for ages.
The good news is that 10 Reasons Not to Fall in Love is now completed and will be hitting the bookshops early next year. The hardback and airport editions are out on Jan 8 next year, with the paperback to follow on Mar 5. After all the hard work, it’s fantastic to have the early proof copy in my hand to look at and I think the team at Headline have done a great job with the jacket (which you’ll have seen on the home page). There’s a promotional video planned and entries on Facebook and Myspace to I will finally have to get with it and join the social networking revolution.
I thoroughly enjoyed writing it and am already missing the characters who I’ve spent so much time with. I set myself the target of improving on I Did a Bad Thing, I hope I’ve done that but am now keen to know what readers think so would be very grateful for feedback via this website once anyone has had a chance to read it.
In the meantime I’m catching up on the huge ‘to do’ list I have built up over the past year or so, recovering from my son’s 4th birthday party and spending time with a familiar looking man who lives in this house and I seem to recall is my husband!
And just when I thought I might have a spare minute or two on my hands, my editor has approved the synopsis of my next novel which is fantastic news but means I'm off and running again. More news about the third book next time . . .
