Diary Entry Oct 2011

Well, it’s finally happened – the paperback edition of And Then It Happened is out in bookshops.

It feels like it’s been a long time coming but has been great to get such a positive early response to the book through this website, Facebook, Twitter etc.

Have also had some wonderful reviews from Closer Magazine ‘utterly riveting’, Heat magazine ‘****’, Chick Lit Reviews ‘One of the most touching books I think I will ever read’ and We Love This Book ‘quite possibly the new One Day’.

Needless to say, I’m incredibly chuffed by this response. And Then It Happened has really been a labour of love for me so it means so much when other people respond to the book in this way.

I’d also like to say thank you to two charities who were an enormous help to me during the research of this book. The Brain Injuries Rehabilitation Trust, especially Andrew James and all the staff at Daniel Yorath House in Garforth, West Yorkshire. Find out more about them here http://www.birt.co.uk/content.asp?page_id=65.

And Headway, the brain injury association. Website www.headway.org.uk I’m making donations to both charities from the royalties for And Then It Happened and I know they’d be very grateful for any further donations.

It’s been great to be out and about signing copies of ATIH at The Book Case and the Hebden Bridge Bookshop, both in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, and at the Birmingham Book Festival. Will keep you posted of any further signings and events on Facebook and Twitter.

Will be back soon, hopefully with news of the next book! In the meantime, might just allow myself a little time off for a celebration . . .

Linda
